Description
When operating a LDPE plant, numerous physical aspects and challenges must be taken into account. The main focus is always on the process parameters to produce a material with the best possible properties. In addition to setting the correct process variables, process reliability is an essential factor in being able to meet production targets. To achieve a high standard of reliability and safety for a running plant, you should pay attention to the occurrence of possible undesirable forces. In particular, dynamic forces are often undesirable and affect the equipment of a plant directly. Therefore, it is imperative to reduce or, better yet, eliminate undesirable forces on all equipment - piping sections, reactors, instrumentation, and especially the heavy compressors. KÖTTER Consulting Engineers has gained vast experience in the last decades. We have precisely analyzed many problems related to increased dynamic forces due to pulsations and vibrations and have impressively proven our knowledge to solve pulsation and vibration problems in LDPE plants. Based on this knowledge, KCE has started to develop short-term available and flexible solutions to reduce the dynamic load of LDPE plants. This presentation will outline typical solutions for improving the reliability of an LDPE plant.
